From idea to finished cut

Every tool, AI workflow and export option in ChatCut: where to find it and what it does to your timeline. Chapters follow the order you'll need them.

Chapters

  1. Viral video recreation, new caption styles, Auto Screen Recorder, Kling 4.0, and 4K with Seedance 2.0 Recreate a viral video with your own characters and footage, give videos new design packaging and animated caption styles, and let ChatCut record and narrate a screen demo. Video generation adds Kling 4.0, brings back Kling 3.0, and offers native 4K on full Seedance 2.0. Viral Video Cloner needs Desktop 0.8.7 or later; Auto Screen Recorder runs in Desktop on a Mac.
  2. A new home page with 100+ Skills, parallel projects in Desktop, and @-mentions of past projects The home page now leads with Skills, and more than 100 Skills cover talking-head editing, video packaging, product ads, app promos, viral recreation and product images. In Desktop, you can move several projects forward at once and @-mention a past project so the agent can reuse its approach.
  3. Zoom face tracking, Bin cleanup on the web, and DeepSeek Harness in Desktop The web editor can keep a moving face centered with Zoom face tracking, organize Bins the same way as Desktop, and use the six shared Zoom presets. Desktop 0.7.14 adds DeepSeek Harness as an agent.
  4. Color inspector and multi-object Smart Cutout in Desktop Desktop 0.7.7 brings every color tool into one Color inspector that can grade a single clip or the whole timeline, adds three built-in presets, and lets AI Smart Cutout keep several objects in one effect.
  5. AI Smart Cutout fix in Desktop 0.6.9 Desktop 0.6.9 is a maintenance update for AI Smart Cutout. The effect can be added to a clip, and its first-frame preview is restored.
  6. Select an object and reuse your LUTs Desktop 0.6.7 adds AI Smart Cutout and a shared LUT library, while preserving translated captions through edits and repairing grading and media-selection issues.
